Charities of Choice 2017

Milwaukee Fashion Week will continue to be an active part of the community by donating proceeds from our events to local nonprofit organizations!
We have two charities of choice for 2017 – check out the lineup below!

Pronounced: /jzuh-swee/ English: “I am”

Project: I am Power – Girl Power Model Mania.

‘Project: I am Power’ is a 501c3 non-profit organization that teaches girls about empowerment and self-confidence as they go through various challenges in their lives, from childhood to becoming a young woman. It is about positive self-image, intellect, compassion, lending a hand, allowing a helping a hand, facing fears, and so much more.
The five week program ends with the girls creating their own T-Shirts and writing an empowerment paragraph that gets read while they walk the runway.

This program allows them to create a garment of their choice, by upcycling used materials, from start to finish.
Ten lucky Jr Fashion Campers will be showcasing their work on the runway, on Friday, September 22nd, 2017!
