Virago: from Latin, ‘heroic woman, female warrior’.
Clothing created for the modern women, to empower and inspire strength. Influenced by strong architectural details, urban edge, and athletic details. Using high quality and luxurious materials, expert construction to fit, conform, and flatter, and one-of-a-kind details. Sarah Corlett is a 2014 Mount Mary University graduate, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion Design, graduating with honors. As a student, she was awarded the “Fashion Forward Award”, the “Outstanding Design Talent Award”, and the “Most Marketable Collection Award” for her work. She completed a study abroad at the Paris American Academy, learning couture methods, millinery, dying techniques, and feather skills. Her designs have been exhibited at the Harley Davidson Museum, the Villa Terace, Zita Bridal Salon, and for segments on local Channel TMJ4 and Fox 6 News. Her work was shown on an international level in 2014 at the WBFF Worlds Competition, Themewear segment. She has worked at the Bon-Ton Inc, within CAD, Color, and Product Development, since 2012. Independently, she designs and creates under two brands, Virago- luxury women’s wear and Ruthless- athleisure and active wear.
