Q. How did it feel to be announced as MKEFW’s 2018 Model of the Year?
A. I was completely surprised! Enough that they couldn’t post the video of my reaction haha! It’s something I wasn’t expecting, and am so honored and thankful for the opportunity. It’s been a fantastic year, and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Q. Who or what inspired you to be a model?
A. . Starting out on the journey of a model was never something I thought I’d end up doing. But my mom said I should try out just to see. “What’s the worse that could happen?” I said, “You’re right”, so I tried out. My mom inspired me to do something I never saw myself getting into.

Q. When was the first time you did the catwalk? How did it feel?
A. Well my first first time walking was in a pageant in 2017, and after that I tried out for MKEFW 2017. MKEFW was my first runway and it was amazing! I absolutely loved it seeing so much talent here in Milwaukee that I didn’t know existed. I had such a blast, full of excitement, anxiety, and blurred vision. (did not wear my glasses, and didn’t have contacts yet so I was walking blind haha)

Q. Are you signed with any agencies? If none, is it something you would like?
A. I am not signed with any agencies yet, but it is definitely something I want to look into going forward.

Q. What do you enjoy most of when modeling?
A. I think what I enjoy most about modeling is getting to see all of the creations people can come up with! They’re so interesting and beautiful, they make me feel like a strong woman.

Q. If you could pick one local, and one large scale, magazine to be on the cover, what would it be?
A. I don’t really look at magazines but Vogue is known all over so I would have to say vogue, or a sports illustrator magazine! I like sports so I think that could be a cool opportunity. As for local, Milwaukee Magazine is in shown in many stores so I think that’d be a great place to start. It’s very popular.

Q. What are your favorite things to do outside of modeling?
A. Cosplaying, sewing, baking, drawing, painting, playing football and video games. I love all different kinds of music, I’ve been very musical since I was 6, playing all kinds of instruments and listening to varied genres. I love vanilla wafers – I can finish an entire box in one sitting! I love visiting Chicago – pretty lights and beautiful for holidays.

Q. What advice would you give for someone that is starting out?
A. My advice would have to be push yourself, even if you don’t think you can do it. I never thought I’d be modeling, it wasn’t my intention. I just tried it to try and it worked out really well for me in a year.
